My process.

Here’s what it’s like to work together, step by step.

First, we get on a call to talk about your problems and see if it’s a good fit. Tell me what you need help with, what systems are involved and how the process works now. If it’s a fit, we’ll meet in person.

Next is a discovery meeting. We go through the nuts and bolts of the problems you’re facing, who’s involved, who makes the decisions, how the processes work and what solutions you’ve considered.

Based on that meeting, I’ll put together a scope of work for each problem, with the proposed solution, plan, timeline and fixed-price quote for each project. The plan is yours to keep, whether or not you hire me for the build.

Before work starts, we’ll set up time for quick daily check-ins and weekly meetings throughout the project.

Then I build it. I do the work myself, so there are no account managers, no handoffs, and no waiting on a dev queue. You see the work as it comes together, and you tell me what’s right and what isn’t while it’s still easy to change.

I test against real examples from your business before anything touches your live systems. For a migration, the old and new systems can run side by side until you trust the new one.

Nothing goes live until you approve it. When it does, I watch it closely, fix what comes up and show your team how it works. I also write down how it all fits together, so nothing lives only in my head. You own what I build.

After launch, I stay on. Software that connects other software needs looking after. Vendors change things, and data shows up in new shapes. I provide ongoing monitoring, support and updates on a retainer, so problems get caught and fixed. The person who designed your system is the same one who supports it.
