Integrations, migrations and custom software, built with AI. Pittsburgh.

My approach.

Robbie Sherrard

I’m a Pittsburgh-based software engineer and technology consultant. I specialize in systems integration, migrations, and custom software, and I help businesses put AI to practical use. My goal is to help clients capture value created by using AI to automate and streamline their systems.

My approach is simple: Start with the problem, not the technology. I use AI in my own engineering workflows to increase productivity, and often I recommend it to clients as a tool to increase efficiency. But I’m honest about where it adds value and where it adds cost and risk. Sometimes the right answer is an AI feature. Sometimes it’s traditional software built with AI. Sometimes, you just need to get more out of the tools you already have.

I run my own business the same way. I built and scaled Flex Bundles, a Shopify app that processes millions of dollars in orders every month for brands like Dr. Squatch, Laura Geller, Puffco, Giordano’s Pizza, and Pashion Footwear. It handles complex bundle configurations on the storefront and integrates cleanly with 3PLs, fulfillment providers, and ERPs. AI made it possible for me to build and run it as a sole operator, with no additional development resources. The product itself is reliable, traditional software. I use AI where it earns its place: implementing and customizing the app on client stores.

Before that, I spent years building and maintaining systems for companies including Google, BMW, Toys“R”Us, Our Place, Nestig and Wild One, from high-traffic online stores to integrations that sync catalogs and inventory from multiple suppliers across thousands of products.

Working solo with AI as a force multiplier means clients get the output of a larger team without the overhead. You work directly with the engineer building your system, so there are no account managers, no handoffs, and no waiting on a dev queue. Requirements don’t get lost, and the person who designed your integration is the same person who supports it.
